Oscar's first day

Meeting in neutral terrirory (the linen box)

The move to cagemates
After they had settled down, Oscar had a nap inside one of the boxes inside the linen box. Warfarin went to lay down next to him, and slowly moved closer and closer until they were laying together.

At this point, we decided to move them to the cage. Ideally, Oscar would go first then Warfarin but we took advantage of their new-found closeness and picked them both up, box and all to explore the cage. (which had been washed, filled with new toys and scented with lavender - like the neutral territory).

Halo's last day

I took these pictures because I was worried he had lost too much weight. He seemed too happy and active to be as sick as he evidently was. He climbed, bounded (a sign of him feeling safe) and had a long, nice cuddle on my lap, resting his head on my arm.

We decided to take him to the vet anyway, once his breathing became laboured. By the time we got there, he was gasping for breath and within ten minutes of entering the vet's room, he had died.

Goodnight Buddy-boy. You were loved and will always be remembered.
